Angel, or seed-stage, investing offers the potential in the early stages of a young business, in addition to providing an opportunity to mentor entrepreneurs and help grow promising companies. Individuals interested in joining Northeast Angels should contact us [info@neastangels.com] to arrange a preliminary conversation and subsequent guest attendance at a monthly meeting. Following submission of an application fee of $100, a completed application form, and a resume/CV, applications will be evaluated by the general membership. Once accepted for membership, one’s application fee becomes non-refundable.
Investors must be “accredited investors” (under U.S. securities laws) in order to become members of Northeast Angels. Generally, investors are “accredited” if they have a net worth (with their spouse) of at least $1,000,000, or if they sustained an annual income of at least $200,000 or more individually, or $300,000 or more with their spouse, for the past two years and expect to have such an income during the current year. There are separate rules governing whether trusts and other entities are accredited. Each potential Northeast Angels member should consult legal counsel on this important issue.
Northeast Angels meet monthly on the third Tuesdays at 8:00 in the morning in Milford, NH. Members are expected to attend a minimum of half the meetings to be considered active.
